Data Resources
From day one of my doctoral studies, I have been passionate about providing open source political science datasets. You can see my portfolio below.

WhoGov
WhoGov (short for "Who Governs") was created with Jacob Nyrup when we were both completing our DPhil degrees. From what started out of necessity to create data for our theses, WhoGov has become a life's work for both of us, and we are committed long-term to not only update but also expand this dataset. For our efforts, WhoGov won the Lijphart/Przeworski/Verba award for best dataset in 2021 from the American Political Science Association. WhoGov can be downloaded here. To see what WhoGov can do, check out our American Political Science Review data paper (click here).
The New Parties Dataset
The New Parties Dataset was created during my time at the New News Project, an ERC grant for Joost van Spanje. We track 2,434 new political parties over the course of three consecutive national elections. We have submitted a data paper of this dataset to Party Politics. If you would like to see the most up-to-date draft of this paper, please feel free to contact me. The data is available on the Harvard Dataverse (click here).
